The school is an official OxfordAQA exam centre as of 2025. This allows students to take IGCSE & A-Level exams on-site at the KM4 campus.
Grades that follow the international curriculum span Grade 1 through 11 for IGCSE and then Grade 12 under international curriculum for A-Levels.
Students prepare via mock exams, exam-specific study plans, and textbooks aligned with OxfordAQA standards.
National Curriculum Component
Alongside international subjects, students from Grade 1-11 study national curriculum subjects: Somali Language, Arabic, and Islamic Studies. These are taught in addition to the IGCSE subjects.
In Grade 12, students follow the national Somali curriculum fully (or mostly) in order to satisfy local university entry requirements. They may also take special subjects like YOS (Turkish university entrance examination) and mathematics as required for scholarships or foreign university admission.

Maarif’s KM4 campus is now accredited as an official IGCSE & A-Level OxfordAQA examination centre, effective starting 2025.
This accreditation means students can sit for internationally recognized exams (IGCSE & A Levels) right on their own campus, without needing to travel outside country.
The school is recognized (per news/reporting) as the first school in Somalia to gain OxfordAQA accreditation.
